Q: How can I create a Drop?

Creating a Drop is the easiest to offer exclusive perks to your collectors. There are two types of drops: “ Star Drops” and “Presave Drops”.

Star Drops: Offer exclusive perks & a special badge

Create a profile on showtime.xyz: Sign up for a profile on Showtime and follow our instructions to complete your profile, then click on the “+” and “Create Drop”.
Customize your drop: Choose the artwork or item you want to sell, and upload its media (photo, video) to our platform.
Pick the exclusive link: For Star Drops, there is a fee to create each edition, and the price varies depending on the number of editions you choose: 50, 100 or 1,000 editions. The fee is made to pay for gas costs on the Polygon blockchain, where your collection is minted.
Share your drop: Once purchased, share your drop widely to promote it to your followers!

Music Drop: Pre-Save on Spotify

Get Pre-Save Access: to create a Music Drop, you need to have a Spotify artist profile. If you don't have one yet, you can apply for verification here:

Create your drop: Choose a song you want collectors to Pre-Save on Spotify, and upload your selected media, usually the album artwork or a snippet of the song. Then, paste the Spotify Song Link:
- If you want to drop for a song that’s already out, you need to copy the Song Link. You can find it on Spotify.
- If it’s an upcoming track, you need the track URI (not album URI). You may need to ask your distributor for the track URI. However, if you don’t have the track URI ready, that’s okay too! You can update the song link on Showtime when the song is out, and we’ll automatically save the track to all of your collectors instantly.
Promote your drop: Once your Music Drop is ready, share it to your fans on Instagram and Twitter in one click.

I want a refund on a Drop I paid for.

If you have valid reasons as of why you want a refund, tell us by email and we’ll do it for you at [email protected]! Reasons could include: your drop did not sell out, there was a bug impacting your drop experience, etc.

How can I collect a Drop?

By default, we configure new drop collections with a single allowed minter contract.
